Gatesman and his wife, Karen, and was started in 1951 by Dana’s father, John A. Gatesman, in a small three-stall garage in Lucinda, behind his parent’s home. |

CLARION — Clarion County real estate taxes are a little higher this year. As 2007 drew to a close, the county commissioners adopted a spending plan for 2008 that included a 2.5-mill real estate tax increase. It listed anticipated expenditures at $14,275,000 compared to the $13.5 million plan fpr 2007. |
Clarion Ford buys second dealership, celebrates its 20th

CLARION — Clarion Ford acquired the Chrysler Dodge Jeep facility down the road in 2007. The family-owned business is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. Tracie Kriebel owns and manages the company with her father, John Morris. “We are looking forward to being able to offer different products to our customers,” Kriebel said. |

RRR Roadhouse marks its 5th in ’08

CLARION — The RRR Roadhouse at Clarion Mall will celebrate its fifth anniversary this summer. The restaurant, featuring western style décor, country music and a menu with many new features, opened in August 2003 and has about 100 employees, many of whom have been on the staff since the opening. |
New bridge going up at Foxburg

A $10.1 million bridge is going up across the Allegheny River at Foxburg. It will carry Route 58, linking Clarion County community to Armstrong County. The two-lane structure is being built so close to the existing single-lane bridge that a pedestrian walkway will not be added until after the current bridge is demolished. |

It is the 18th retail location for the Flynn’s retail division which operates stores in Western Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio. Flynn’s offers both tire service and automotive mechanical services. |
