Council approves tentative spending plan for 2010

Franklin City Council on Monday approved a tentative 2010 budget that holds the line on taxes. Council unanimously approved the plan, which calls for no tax increases while maintaining staff and service levels. The general fund budget is set at $4,384,561, an increase of $75,581 from the 2009 budget. The sewer fund budget is set at $1,995,362. More...

DEARBORN, Mich. (AP) — One of the troubled Detroit Three automakers, Ford, is making money again and looking for better times in no more than two years.
