Libraries face tough decisions due to funding cuts in budget

Pennsylvania’s public libraries have taken a big hit as a result of reduced spending in the state budget adopted one month ago. The shakeout from those funding cuts is prompting local libraries to consider reducing staff, shortening operating hours, cutting back supplies, eliminating programs and curtailing some Internet services.
