Two people were flown by emergency helicopter to a Pittsburgh hospital after a motorcycle crash on Route 36 in Farmington Township on Sunday afternoon.
Marienville state police said Jeffrey Lamantia, 49, of Midland, was driving a 1984 Honda Goldwing southbound on Route 36, north of Miola Road.
Lamantia was attempting to negotiate a curve, but the motorcycle's kickstand was down and caused him to leave the roadway, police said.
The motorcycle came to a final rest over an embankment after hitting multiple trees, police said.
Police said Lamantia and his 48-year-old female passenger suffered injuries and were flown to Allegheny General Hospital.
Police were assisted at the scene by Clarion EMS, LifeFlight and Farmington Volunteer Fire Department.
