MEADVILLE - One of the suspects in a shooting that left a man critically wounded in Meadville on Thursday morning is in custody, according to Meadville police.
Michelle Rosario, 40, was taken into custody Friday by police in Jamestown, New York.
The other suspect, Rosario's son, Anthonie L. Sugden, 22, is at large and should be considered armed and dangerous, police said.
Police said both suspects fled from 135 Lincoln Ave. in Meadville, where police found a male gunshot victim on Thursday.
A criminal complaint says police responded to the apartment at about 8 a.m. Thursday, and a witness said the man had been staying at her apartment for a few days.
She said the man had argued with Rosario on social media and on the phone the night prior to the shooting.
The witness said she woke up early Thursday morning to see two people in ski masks holding handguns and engaged in a confrontation with the man.
The witness said she heard a loud bang and then saw the man fall to the floor.
The two intruders then stole cellphones, some money and a few other items before leaving the apartment. The witness then went to get help from a neighbor who called for emergency services.
Sugden has been charged with attempted criminal homicide and multiple related charges.
Rosario has been charged with robbery and criminal conspiracy.
