Thomas H. Stephens, 47, of 1 Walnut St, Reno, went to his eternal reward at 8:45 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 2008, at St Vincent Health Center in Erie.

Born June 25, 1961, in Oil City, he was a son of the late Ralph H. and Virginia Irene Slater Stephens.

Mr. Stephens was a 1980 graduate of Rocky Grove High School.

He owned Grizzly’s garage from 1995 to 2006.

Mr. Stephens loved to hunt. He served many local fests to benefit his church and community, and he always was willing to lend a hand to friends in need.

He married the former Nancy McFadden in July 1981, and she survives.

Also surviving are a daughter, Dawn Marie Stephens and her fiancé, Eric Chatley, of Franklin; a brother, Robert Stephens and his wife, Denice, of Blakeslee; two sisters, Ethel Rodebaugh and her husband, Larry, of Franklin, and Mary Ann King and her husband, Daniel, of Reno; an aunt, Anna Sorlie and her husband, Earl, of Meadville; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Eugene Stephens.

Friends may call from 1 to 3 p.m. today at the Morrison Funeral Home in Oil City.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. today at the funeral home with the Rev. Daniel Murray officiating.

Interment will be in Reno Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are requested to be made to the funeral home to defray expenses.
