Pedestrian hurt in Oil City

Oil City police and firefighters were called to an accident at 6:35 p.m. Thursday at Willow Street and Colbert Avenue in Siverly that involved a vehicle and a pedestrian.

Reports indicated that the eight-year-old male pedestrian was taken to UPMC Northwest in Seneca, but a dispatcher for Oil City police said Friday evening no report had been prepared about the accident and details could not be provided to the newspaper.

Damages at greenhouse

Plastic sheeting enclosing Coogan”¦s Greenhouse at 601 10th St. in Franklin was cut in eight different locations, causing about $800 to $1,000 in damages, according to Franklin city police.

Police said the incident occurred between Tuesday and Thursday, and anyone with information is asked to contact Franklin police as the business owner is offering a monetary award for any information that could lead to an arrest and conviction.

Theft from company

Franklin state police say cable drilling tools valued at more than $17,000 were taken from property owned by Kennerdell Resources on Phipps Road in Clinton Township.

The theft occurred between March and July 3 of this year, police said.

Warrant arrest

ƒŽ Jonathan Roger Hanlon, 19, of Oil City, was arrested at 11 a.m. Friday by Venango County sheriff”¦s deputies on a warrant for failure to appear in court on a DUI charge.
