ƒŞ An Oil City man was arrested on a PFA violation Monday after his vehicle was stopped for traffic violations in Franklin.
State police said Shawn Michael Lawrie, 38, was found to be in violation of the PFA around 1:50 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Liberty and Eighth streets following a traffic stop.
Lawrie was arrested on an unrelated bench warrant and for the PFA violation, police said. They said he was arraigned and lodged in the Venango County jail on $5,000 bail.
ƒŞ A Rimersburg man was arrested on PFA violation Wednesday after driving a vehicle through a woman¡¦s yard in Clarion County.
State police said Robert K. Stalker, 41, damaged the Tylersburg woman¡¦s yard around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday when he drove his vehicle through it.
Stalker violated the PFA, which was ordered to protect the woman and her family from harassment, police said. He was placed in the Clarion County jail.
Chainsaws stolen
Franklin state police are searching for a suspect who removed several chainsaws between 10 p.m. Sunday and 4:30 a.m. Monday from a residence in Venango County.
Police said the suspect arrived at the Cherrytree Township residence, entered an open garage and removed three chainsaws valued at approximately $975.
The suspect then fled the scene undetected, police said. They said an investigation into the theft will continue.
DUI arrest
Joseph Cooke of Harrisville was arrested for DUI Saturday in Barkeyville Borough following a traffic stop. He was lodged in the Venango County jail for a probation violation, said Polk Borough police.
