Pulaski Club fishing derby set Saturday

The annual Oil Heritage Festival fishing derby sponsored by the Oil City Pulaski Club will be held Saturday at the Izaak Walton pond off Deep Hollow Road. The event begins at 8 a.m.

John Eismont, a co-chairman of the event along with Tom Kinch, is pictured here with Hillary Schwab, 12, and Megan Eismont, 10, as they look over some of the prizes that will be available. The prizes include U.S. savings bonds, bicycles, fishing poles, gift certificates, food coupons, T-shirts and many other items.

Eismont promises that "lots of fish will be caught, some big whoppers too!"

Snacks will be provided, and bait will also be available.

Registration will take place at the pond before the fishing starts.
