The U.S. women's national team's efforts to secure equitable pay finally came to fruition this week when the players reached a collective bargaining agreement with U.S. Soccer that gives them the same pay as their male counterparts. The milestone wasn’t achieved just because the women filed a discrimination lawsuit in 2019, or complained to the EEOC in 2016. It was decades in the making. Past players led the charge by advocating for better pay and equitable treatment.

The PGA Championship is not the British Open. But it sounded like one at Southern Hills. That's all because of the wind, and players that are helped by being on the right side of the draw. Will Zalatoris didn't face any wind over his final two hours and shot a 65 to build a one-shot lead. Bubba Watson shot a 63 to tie a PGA Championship record. Of the 22 players under par at Southern Hills, 17 came from the same side of the draw. Now it's an even playing field, and even Tiger Woods is still playing.

If Epicenter runs his race, he’s going to win the Preakness. It’s really that simple. By just about any measure, the Steve Asmussen-trained, Joel Rosario-ridden Epicenter is the clear class of the field for the second leg of the Triple Crown series. He was installed as the morning-line favorite and he’ll be the post-time favorite on Saturday. And he would have won the Kentucky Derby two weeks ago, if not for Rich Strike having speed, trip and luck breaking his way. But this is horse racing. It’s rarely as simple as it seems. And Early Voting will have a chance to steal this at the end.
