Forest Service decides on ATV connector, wetland restoration

MARIENVILLE - The U.S. Department of Agriculture, Forest Service has decided to authorize a 12.9-mile, two-way all-terrain vehicle trail and enhance a wetland in Jenks and Howe townships.

The Forest Service had accepted public comments for the Marienville ATV Connector and Wetland Restoration project in Allegheny National Forest, and based its decision on the comments and environmental analysis, according to a news release.

- Butler Health System reported Clarion Hospital through Tuesday had collected 13,563 specimens for COVID-19 testing, including 11,463 tests at the hospital's outdoor collection site. A total of 2,185 tests were positive for the virus. As of Wednesday, the hospital has no COVID-19 in-patients.
