WASHINGTON - U.S. Sen. Pat Toomey, and U.S. Reps. Glenn Thompson and Mike Kelly are among lawmakers who have filed an amicus brief to prevent safe injection sites for illegal drug use from opening in Pennsylvania.

They are among nine Republican lawmakers from the state who have joined in the filing of the brief in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, according to a news release from Toomey's office.
