The massive washout of vehicles and related items from Deep Hollow Road into the Allegheny River as a result of a July 19 flood on Lower Two Mile Run has drawn together a coalition determined to clear the waterway of debris.

"The simple fact is - it needs cleaned up. This will not be a one-day event and we need all eyes on the river, particularly right now when we can get this done," said Kim Harris, recreational project manager for the Oil Region Alliance in Oil City. "While it is obviously what it looks like that matters, it is also a big safety issue."
