Damage assessed at Clarion County building hit by fire

CLARION - Clarion County commissioners on Tuesday unanimously adopted an emergency declaration for the building that houses the county's probation department and the office of District Judge Duane Quinn.

A fire Thursday damaged the building at 22 North 6th St. Commissioner Ted Tharan said Tuesday the cause of the fire appeared to be a cigarette that was placed in a plastic container outside the building.
