The annual pet show held in conjunction with Franklin's Fourth of July festivities took place Monday in Bandstand Park.
About a dozen dogs took center stage, and they were joined by a few unusual pets - a chinchilla and a couple of hamsters.
There were games for the kids and a kiddie pool with frozen hot dog pieces for the dogs to bob for.
Franklin holiday events continue all week with the Taste of Talent champions show tonight, the second round of this year's Taste of Talent on Wednesday, and a concert and fireworks Thursday.
Cranberry's big celebration is tonight, and Oil City will hold Jolly July 3rd festivities Wednesday. Both of those celebrations will finish with fireworks.
In Clarion County, activities are scheduled Wednesday in Clarion and Thursday in Lucinda.
