Lack of adequate public parking, its impact on local Oil City businesses and possible ways to fix the problem were at the heart of a meeting Wednesday at city hall.

At issue is a dearth of parking slots in the city's North Side business district. The situation has been exacerbated over the past several months by two major construction projects - the county's transportation hub complex and parking lot conversion on Elm Street and the Cornplanter Square building renovations at Seneca and Sycamore streets.
