A Clarion woman is facing charges in connection with a fire that broke out Friday in her Clarion Borough apartment.

Clarion Borough police said in a criminal complaint that Amy Lynn Eyth, 40, told them she placed an envelope with foil inside, several papers, leaves and sticks in the broiler portion of her 21 Shady Avenue apartment's oven. Eyth told police she put the items in the oven "for safe keeping" the night before as she was packing to move.
