An Oil City man is facing charges after police discovered methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Rocky Grove Avenue in Rocky Grove Friday.

Sugarcreek police said they conducted a traffic stop on Joshua Ryan Waters, 34, at the corner of Rocky Grove Avenue and Cedar Street at 8:15 p.m. and discovered Waters to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Police said Waters also had an active arrest warrant through the Venango County Sheriff's Department.

Waters has been charged with felony counts of possession with intent to manufacture or deliver and possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor use or possession of drug paraphernalia and summary offense driving while license is suspended.

A preliminary hearing is set for Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the Venango County Courthouse.
