A Saxonburg woman was injured after her vehicle hit a deer Friday on Route 36 in Forest County.

Marienville state police said Katharine M. Gannon, 22, was traveling south on Route 36 in a 2009 Toyota Corolla when a deer crossed the road. Gannon's vehicle struck the deer causing disabling damage to the vehicle, police said.

Gannon received suspected minor injuries from glass from the windshield, police said.

Tionesta Fire Department and Tionesta EMS assisted at the scene.
