With the season already delayed by several months due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mother Nature threatened to make that wait even longer Monday evening on the opening night of the Tri-City Little League season.

But, dark skies and a light rain at the beginning of the game gave way to sunshine - and plenty of runs - as Barr's Insurance opened the season with a 19-3 victory over Snyder Electric at the Cranberry Little League Field thanks in large part to the hard-hitting efforts of Kayson Geib, Nolan Gates and Avery Gates.
