CLARION -Clarion High School quarterback Cal German threw for 176 yards on 9-of-13 passing and three touchdowns in the Bobcats' 62-0 rout of visiting James Buchanan on Friday night in non-conference action at Memorial Stadium.

It was all Clarion for the full 48 minutes for coach Larry Wiser's Bobcats (9-1). Ethan Burford started the scoring around the 11-minute mark in the first quarter as German found the 5-9 junior from 43 yards out. Austin Newcomb, who broke the century mark in rushing yards yet again, rattled off the next two scores for Clarion. A seven-yard trot by Newcomb put the Bobcats up 14-0 before he broke off a 65-yard run just three minutes later to put Clarion up 20-0 after the failed point-after. Tyler Schmader, a lineman by trade, got an opportunity during Clarion's final home game to reach paydirt as he took in a three-yard run with 3:02 remaining in the quarter, giving Clarion a 27-0 lead.
