EDINBORO - Despite making just two of 22 shots from the field in the first half Tuesday night against General McLane, Oil City's boys basketball team pulled to within four points in the fourth quarter before fading down the stretch in a 44-30 loss to the Lancers in Region 6 play.

Coach Bundy Fulmer's Oilers (5-8 overall, 1-4 R-6) trailed 14-4 after one period and 23-8 at the half before turning things around. They won the third quarter, 14-10 and were within four points midway through the final stanza when the Lancers made a late run to put the game away.
