ORSA U20 teams caps off unbeaten season

The ORSA U20 boys soccer team capped off an unbeaton season with a 1-0 victory over Grove City this past weekend.

Zach Taylor headed home the only goal of the contest off of a throw by Adam Taylor as ORSA finished the season at 7-0-1. Keegan Hoover and Greg Fackler were praised for their play on defense while Johnathan Leccia recorded the shutout in net.

Whitling U11

Whitling U11 fought back from an early 2-0 deficit to earn a 2-2 draw with Clarion this past weekend.

Caylee Henderson scored a goal to trim Clarion's lead in half before Kendall Doty notched the equalizing goal knot the score. Chum Whitling and Austin Kritikos were lauded for their play in net.

Delta Force '05

The Delta Force recorded a 2-2 draw with North Allegheny on Saturday and lost a 4-2 decision to Penn-Trafford on Sunday to close out their season at 6-2-1.

In the opener, Nathan Pfennigwerth and Cade Coldiron each found the back of the net off of assists from Quinn Ritchey and Spencer Riley to give the Delta Force a 2-0 lead, but North Allegheny was able to score twice in the second half to get the draw.

In the second game, the Delta Force fell behind 2-0, but they rebounded to tie the score on goals by Dray Dill and Pfennigwerth to knot the score. However, Penn-Trafford found the back of the net twice to secure the win.

U11 Fleming

Despite getting two goals from Nadia Morrison and one goal from Jacob Fleming, his first for ORSA, the U11 Fleming squad dropped a 6-3 decision to Greenville U10 coed. LJ Mansaray and Landen Brundage were lauded for their play on defense, Braysen Bean and Josiah Mansaray were touted for their effort on offense while Luke Johnson was praised for his play in net.

U20 Women

Despite strong efforts from Hailey Jane Byers, Lauren Womer, Emma Pfennigwerth, Carly Calderone and Riley Phipps, the U20 Women's team dropped a 5-0 decision to Grove City.
