RIMERSBURG - Union's Caden Rainey made a last-second steal and fired in a 70-foot heave that banked in at the overtime buzzer Wednesday night to propel the Golden Knights to a thrilling 64-61 victory over visiting Karns City in a KSAC boys basketball crossover matchup.

Coach Chris Bellis' Gremlins (6-4, 4-1 KSAC Big) held a 19-14 lead after one before extending it to 36-27 at the break. Union (6-4, 3-3 KSAC Small) fought right back, however, by outscoring Karns City 20-8 in the third before the two teams were deadlocked at the end of four. A 10-7 edge in the overtime period helped clinch the ballgame for coach Brent Saylor's Golden Knights.
